Courtland J. Powers-Gunnells

BRIC Board Member

Courtland J. Powers-Gunnells, an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native, is the Vice President of Philanthropy for Invest in Kids, Inc. She is passionate about supporting nonprofits to identify new methods to evolve their program development, fundraising strategy, and capacity building. Her work includes looking at nonprofit sustainability through a lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. In addition to serving on the BRIC Fund board, she sits on the Community Shares of Colorado board. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Women of Color in Fundraising & Philanthropy, Jack & Jill of America, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also facilitates the Fundraisers of Color virtual support group on behalf of the Executive Leadership Institute of Community Shares of Colorado. Courtland is a Langston University graduate earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management. She has a Master of Arts Degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Oklahoma City University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Organizational Development from Oklahoma Christian University.
