Dear BRIC Builders & Community Partners,
In times when fear and division are being stoked, we stand firm in our belief that resilience, unity, and justice will guide us forward. No matter who holds power, Colorado’s Black communities will continue to rise, organizing for the well-being and liberation of all. Every day, Black-led organizations in our state are on the ground, challenging systems of oppression and building strong Black communities rooted in equity, dignity, and collective care.
The work for justice didn’t start with the 2024 election and won’t end with it either. The Black Resilience in Colorado (BRIC) Fund is committed to standing with our communities for the long term, funding grassroots movements that center the needs and leadership of Black people in our state. We are here to support a transformational journey rooted in community power, love, and liberation.
We invite you to join us in supporting this critical work:
Visit the Black Resilience in Colorado Fund website and social media platforms December 3 - 10 as we highlight grassroots organizations impacting our communities.
Prepare for Colorado Gives Day on December 10th by scheduling a donation to the Black Resilience in Colorado Fund. Your investment strengthens the work of Black-led nonprofits and helps build and prepare its leaders for the future through the Executive Directors of Color Institute.
Invest your 5 Ts (Time, Talent, Treasure, Testimony, and Social Ties) to support BRIC community partners, helping to shift our communities from surviving to thriving.
Watch out for the BRIC Fund’s 2025 and Beyond Survey to share your insights on our current work and provide your thoughts on what’s next as we continue our mission to strengthen Colorado’s Black communities.
Together, let’s stay committed to building a just future for all BRIC by BRIC.
In gratitude & solidarity,
LaDawn Sullivan
Executive Director
